Wind your way around the hills with our driver-guide and wine lover, who will introduce you to a rich and varied wine-making region. This complete program is designed especially for those who want to discover wine and learn about oenology. The guided tour of the oenosensorial circuit of Château Pizay then a meeting with a winemaker at his estate will offer you the chance to taste 17 different wines. By associating taste and visual perception, this circuit allows you to discover the vintages of Beaujolais in all their dimensions.
This wine itinerary is the perfect program for discovering and tasting Beaujolais wines in all their diversity. A complete experience for intense emotions!
We will start this half-day devoted to wine and the vintages of Beaujolais by an introduction to wine-making with a tour of the oenosensorial circuit at Château de Pizay. This extremely beautiful estate that offers premium services invites you to discover the culture of winemaking. Increase your knowledge of wine and understand the general notion of “terroir” to fully comprehend the treasures of this wine-making heritage. Fun and educational, this interactive itinerary offers you the chance to obtain your first amateur wine expert diploma! The visit then ends at the wine shop which presents all the estate’s wines. You will be able to taste twelve wines from the estate, both reds and whites.
After this, we will take the wine route and continue our itinerary through the vineyards. You will be able to admire the variety of landscapes that constitute the treasures of this region. We will explain why this region produces so many famous wines.
We will then go and meet a winemaker who will present his estate and wine production. Another opportunity to taste five high quality wines will again allow you to test what you learned about wine in the morning.
